Rewang
Experience at Kampung Paya Guring 🌿✨
Our Day 7 journey took an
authentic turn into local village life as our ASP x A3I 2026 participants visited Kampung Paya
Guring for
a heartfelt rewang experience! Rooted deeply in Malaysian culture, rewang is the age-old practice of
community members coming together to prepare meals and prepare for communal celebrations through
shared effort and mutual support. 🇲🇾✨
Guided by warm local villagers,
international students rolled up their sleeves to participate in traditional cooking tasks, chopping
ingredients, stirring giant cauldrons, and learning family recipes passed down through generations.
Beyond the delicious feast that followed, the true magic of the day was the spirit of unity and
hospitality—showing our participants that the heart of Malaysian culture lies in togetherness,
generosity, and teamwork. 💛
It was a deeply meaningful
cultural exchange that nourished both the body and soul, leaving our students with broad smiles and
unforgettable memories of true kampung warmth!
