CAMPUS Asia, “Collective Action for Mobility Program of University Students in Asia” is a quality-assured student exchange program framework to improve international competitiveness on a joint basis through the cooperation of governments, quality assurance agencies and universities in China, Japan and South Korea.
The University of Yamanashi (Japan), Hangzhou Dianzi University (China), Pukyong National University (Korea) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia) designed the “Asia Applied Artificial Intelligence (A3I): Real Problem Solving Driven AI Education Program” and was accepted by CAMPUS Asia Plus Program in 2021
This framework was established jointly by the government of Japan, China and Korea in 2011 and 10 pilot programs were selected as Mode 1. Five years later, in 2019, 9 new programs were added as Mode 2, and Mode 3 called for participation with the extension to ASEAN countries in 2021. In Mode 3, 7 programs were adopted in 2021 including Asia Applied Artificial Intelligence (A3I): Real Problem Solving Driven AI Education Program proposed by the University of Yamanashi (Japan), Hangzhou Dianzi University (China), Pukyong National University (Korea), and University Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia).
CAMPUS Asia is a project in which government agencies, quality assurance institutions, and universities from Japan, China, and Korea collaborate to promote inter-university exchange with quality assurance in order to improve the international competitiveness of universities. Building on CAMPUS Asia, CAMPUS Asia Plus sees ASEAN countries join the initiative to develop globally competent individuals and strengthen the global development capacity of university education.
