Batik Inderawasih Cultural Experience 🎨✨

Our Day 7 cultural adventure immersed our participants in the timeless beauty of Malaysian heritage! Our ASP x A3I 2026 cohort had the hands-on opportunity to visit Batik Inderawasih and bring intricate traditional batik patterns to life using vibrant palettes of their own choice. 🖌️🇲🇾💙

Guided by skilled local artisans, students learned about the waxing and dyeing process behind this iconic art form before putting brush to fabric. It was inspiring to watch each international participant express their creativity, turning blank textiles into personalized masterpieces while gaining a newfound respect for Malaysia’s rich artistic roots.

Beyond the paint and wax, today’s workshop offered a peaceful, creative space for students to connect, trade color tips, and take home a beautiful handcrafted souvenir to cherish forever!
